You can now get a fade and cop kicks at Footlocker in NBA 2K18

NBA 2K18 is coming back BIG this year!

After the past iterations of 2K basically just provided an updated roster with only a few new features added, the team over at 2K finally put their foot down and came to body the gaming world this September.

Yesterday 2K unveiled their new Career mode called “Neighborhoods,” with a whole new concept. They’ve created a living, breathing city populated by us players who want to become BIG BALLERS, no Lonzo.

“Neighborhoods” is built as a big hub world, think GTA V online open world without getting clapped up every 5 seconds.

In the hub you have the option to grab your squad and hit up the barbershop for some quick fades, run down to the gym to get your weight up, walk over to the basketball court to get your ass violated by someone who bought more VC than you, and that’s all before cashing out at the nearest Foot Locker for some new J’s.

“Neighborhoods” is set to be the meeting grounds for past modes: MyPark, Pro-Am, and MyCareer and the best part is that your character’s skill rating is universal through every different mode.

2K knows what we want out here, a reason to calmly dub NBA Live 18 and with this announcement it’s looking like we got our reason.

Twitter took no time to start going in on NBA Live 18 after the announcement, dropping gems like these…

You already know this meme was gonna make its way here

Low key…

Realistically it’s a dub for NBA Live now

Can’t say that this is a bad thing

NBA 2K18 is set to release September 19, 2017 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

5 things U.O.E.N.O. about Michael Jackson on his 59th bday

Michael Jackson is single-handedly responsible for my brother being forced to moonwalk in the middle of the living room every Thanksgiving.

The Smooth Criminal’s legacy is engrained in entertainment culture forever, everybody tryna be as fly as Michael Jackson.

He was a spectacle in every sense of the word who crafted music that will transcend time and culture for years to come.

Today on August 29th we our taking time to recognize the King of Pop and his tremendous accomplishments.

“Billie Jean” was the first music video by a black artist to air on MTV

In 1983 Billie Jean hit number 1 on the Billboard charts and soon after was added to MTV’s video playlist. It broke barriers and paved the way for other artist like Prince to be played soon after.

Thriller is still by far the highest selling album of ALL TIME

EVERYBODY KNOWS THRILLER. There’s no one is this world who can hear Thriller and be like “yo what song is this?”

Thriller holds the record of 65 million copies sold worldwide and that’s just not something I think we’ll see ever again.

He became bigger than life itself and is still the “King of Pop”

Michael Jackson was adored everywhere across the globe, he became this figure that you’d feel lucky to see. His presence is now a benchmark for other celebrities who aspire to be great. He’s a staple in music history with an untouchable legacy.

Still, no matter what accomplishments “the next Mike” reaches, they will never be able to touch the original. During his career he made an estimated $750 million with $300 million alone from royalties from Sony.

He is still the most awarded artist of all time

https://giphy.com/gifs/vintage-michael-jackson-nostalgia-jwPSAfXID8bZu

This just continues to show how celebrated this man was. Gathering a total of 23 Guinness World Records, 40 Billboard Awards, 13 Grammys, and 26 American Music Awards.

The work he put in was on a whole other level, he revolutionized what it meant to be an entertainer and through these awards it definitely shows.

His memorial service broadcast totaled 31+ million viewers in the US

When the King of Pop unfortunately passed away, the world froze. Everyone was deep into their TV or radio station and felt like a piece of their lives disappeared as they heard the news.

The viewership numbers compared with those of Princess Diana and President Reagan’s funeral services showing just how much influence he had.

Michael Jackson will be a name of significance for the rest of human history.

He is THE staple of today’s pop culture and so on his 59th birthday we’re bumping Thriller all day!

Lunch Table Opinions: WTF were they wearing at the VMAs, son?

Remember walking over to your lunch table just to be bombarded by 5 other people waiting to cut your ass (or roast you for the non-New Yorkers)?

Whether it be your 5-year-old sneakers hitting the milly rock or your teeth doing the Harlem Shake, we’ve all been subject to Lunch Table Opinions – even celebrities.

Coincidentally, the MTV Video Music Awards aired last night and I couldn’t help myself from wanting to go in on everyone on the red carpet… so that’s exactly what I’m going to do now!

Don’t forget that the number 1 rule at the lunch table is to not get in your feelings, everything is in jest so let’s just have fun with this!

That time when Kobe Bryant challenged athletes and celebrities to have #MambaMentality

Happy Mamba Monday!

Missing Kobe has never been easy. It started in 2016 when he retired from the NBA; no one backing down defenders on the court. Still, after one year of leaving the courts, Kobe found a way to backhand challenges. And today he still does, although not in his traditional way.

Well, in 2017 our favorite Laker uploaded a series of cryptic pictures each dawning a powerful word and specific color.

The words and their corresponding color were: OPTIMISM (Yellow), PASSION (Red), DETACHED (Grey), HONESTY (Blue), and FEARLESS (Purple).

Today, on #MambaMonday we bring his #MambaMentality back. And remind the world of the eternal power that The Black Mamba has.

So, challenge accepted. Let’s continue his legacy of changing the world in, and outside, the court.

Purple for Isaiah Thomas…

Blue for DeMar DeRozan…

Grey for Kendrick Lamar…

Red for Allyson Felix…

Yellow for Richard Sherman…

Each image was partnered with a specific challenge tailored to a specific celebrity. Newly traded Isaiah Thomas was given a challenge under the very fitting Fearless photo to make the All-NBA First Team next season.

IT promptly accepted the challenge as Kobe continued to call everyone out using the signature hashtag #MambaMentality. Richard Sherman did the same.

Although this is all part of a marketing campaign for his new shoes with Nike, it doesn’t negate the fact that these are sincere challenges that the celebs can choose to accomplish.

Each color will be a different version of his new shoe giving insight to the Mamba’s mind and how each color effects his personality.

Amongst Kobe’s #MambaMentality challenges, Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo felt excluded from the party and demanded Kobe for a challenge. Kobe’s response? He simply replied “MVP” to Giannis’ initial tweet.

This definitely isn’t too much of a stretch considering the young Greek Freak ended this season averaging his highest career points and finishing 8th in the MVP voting.

Giannis Antetotokounmpo asked Kobe for a challenge…

He got one…

Listen to Floyd Mayweather’s Spotify playlist to train like a champion

We all know the Floyd persona by now, he’s bigger than life, extravagant and his middle name might as well be money at this point. He makes this shit look easy but I know deep inside I’m not about to step in a ring 50 times and never lose.

Floyd’s legacy is more than safe by now and if you don’t think so I’m sure his new $3 million Bugatti (his 6th one btw) will tell you to shut the fuck up.

Amongst all these W’s that keep flying Floyd’s way, I have to wonder how he stays so consistent, he’s constantly been the top guy and villain for years and at 40 years old he looks determined as ever to get his money and stay elite.

A couple days before his last fight Floyd blessed everyone with his own curated playlist on Spotify appropriately named “Hard Work and Dedication.”

After bumping the 42 songs in the playlist I’m pretty sure I’m officially Money Team, the track list features massive songs that hit not just on the charts but sonically as well.

We have Drake’s “Free Smoke,” Ace Hood’s “Hustle Hard,” and of course Meek’s essential “Ima Boss.” This “Hard Work and Dedication” playlist shows just how Floyd has stayed so consistent… hard work and dedication duh!

It’s easy to look at someone like Floyd and knock him off as an arrogant dick but wouldn’t you be if you could make $300 million in a night?

Earlier this year during a Brooklyn press conference Floyd told the up and coming Adrien Broner,

“Always have patience, you go’n get to where you need to”.

Floyd wasn’t always making the money he is now but he continued working and knocking every one of his challenges down. We might not be able to be Floyd Mayweather, he even acknowledges he’s a different breed saying,

“There’s a difference between being talented and God gifted”

But we can practice his hard work and dedication so go bump that playlist and start working towards something!
