Thriller holds the record of 65 million copies sold worldwide and that’s just not something I think we’ll see ever again.

Michael Jackson was adored everywhere across the globe, he became this figure that you’d feel lucky to see. His presence is now a benchmark for other celebrities who aspire to be great. He’s a staple in music history with an untouchable legacy.

Still, no matter what accomplishments “the next Mike” reaches, they will never be able to touch the original. During his career he made an estimated $750 million with $300 million alone from royalties from Sony.


He is still the most awarded artist of all time

This just continues to show how celebrated this man was. Gathering a total of 23 Guinness World Records, 40 Billboard Awards, 13 Grammys, and 26 American Music Awards.

The work he put in was on a whole other level, he revolutionized what it meant to be an entertainer and through these awards it definitely shows.


His memorial service broadcast totaled 31+ million viewers in the US

When the King of Pop unfortunately passed away, the world froze. Everyone was deep into their TV or radio station and felt like a piece of their lives disappeared as they heard the news.

The viewership numbers compared with those of Princess Diana and President Reagan’s funeral services showing just how much influence he had.

Michael Jackson will be a name of significance for the rest of human history.
