Peep the artist who puts rappers on sandwiches in this lit photo series

If there are two things social media loves, it’s food and celebrities. When they come together thousands of likes appear. It’s like a magnet, just so wild how much people eat it up.

Instagram account @celebsonsandwiches has capitalized on this and bring these two worlds together in a magical way. The page’s founder Jeff Macarty told Mashable through an email where he got the idea to start this page,

“While snacking on a fully-loaded Italian sandwich. He and his girlfriend were discussing [Aziz] Ansari’s very public love for food when it occurred to him that it might be funny to paint the two together.”

Such a casual conversation led to a huge Instagram account. He uses water color to illustrate his drawing and adds a nice charm to them.

He has already done a range of different celebrities ranging from political figures to musicians. You can buy any of his artwork that you see on his Ig at his website.

Oh and you know he keeps up with celeb news as he has done “Hotline Bling” Drake, tongue out Miley Cyrus, and even got Game of Thrones.

Our favorites have to be the hip-hop ones. We’ll just show you and you’ll know why.

It wouldn’t be right if Bronson wasn’t done

Action Bronson gets another late night TV show, album still on the way

Action Bronson cannot be stopped. Coming off of his second season of F*ck That’s Delicious, Viceland has decided to renew the TV show for a third season plus a new late night show hosted by Bronson.

Bronson has come a long way from the original  F*ck That Delicious web series that premiered on VICE’s Munchies series back in 2014. So far the show has also been the inspiration for a new age form of cookbook, “replete with orgiastic recipes, world travel, siren songs, and weed.”

The new late night show, which is still untitled, will drop some time during late 2017. But, that is not the only thing the Queens rapper turned TV star has up his sleeve for this year.

Besides receiving two TV slots on Viceland, Bronson will also be collaborating with Snapchat and Match to create a mini Snapchat series called Hungry Hearts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hungry Hearts will focus on “Bronson setting up young singles to go on curated dates. Match has signed on as the presenting sponsor for the Snapchat show. The series joins other shows on the app including A&E Networks’ Second Chance and NBC’s Take Two. ”

As Action Bronson is already known to be one of the braziest performers, I doubt that he will have any trouble keeping the Snapchat series a success.

Let’s not forget that Bronson is still working on Blue Chips 7000, which, after much anticipation, is due to drop this week on August 25. Thank God!

The 13 track album will feature his F*ck That’s Delicious homies, Big Body Bes and Meyhem Lauren. The tape will also include reggae legend Jah Tiger and the biggest boss, Rick Ross.

While we wait for Action Bronson to absolutely kill the rest of 2017, check out his newly released track off of the highly anticipated project “9-24-7000,” featuring Ricky Rozay.

Action Bronson announces ‘Blue Chips 7000’ release date, drops new video

For those of you who’ve been stressing over the protracted rollout of Action Bronson’s Blue Chips 7000, worry not.

He announced the release date real late night while taking dabs.

The Queens legend’s 4th studio album is set to drop August 25th, rounding up the summer perfectly with some Bam Bam for the dog days.

Action also released the visuals for a new song “The Chairman’s Intent” and it may indeed be the greatest music video of all time.

You can tell Action was beyond hyped.

Check out the video on YouTube here:

With production from Surf School head Harry Fraud, Action stars in a ’70s-inspired video directed by another Queens dude Rik Cordero, who’s known for his wild, unorthodox, and gritty visuals.

Cordero hinted that this is only the beginning of the Queens connection.

Blue Chips 7000 is now available for pre-order over at Bronson’s website with some pretty extra perks.

There’s multiple different bundles, including a $5,000 option in which you can have dinner with Action himself.

Other options include less extravagant, but still very chill, merch bundles.

As for the details on Blue Chips 7000, which will include single “Let Me Breathe, production will come from Action Bronson collaborators Alchemist, Harry Fraud, and Party Supplies, so Action fans will be getting that vintage sound.

Peep the first single off Blue Chips 7000:

The features include Mayhem Lauren and Big Body Bes, so there will be plenty of fire ad-libs and you already know Big Body will be talking his trademark shit throughout.

Action also announced a little mini-tour on his website so if you’re located in one of the lucky locales, definitely cop your tickets.

It’s good to see Action Bronson back to making his music. I was a little worried now that he’s a big TV star and personality that he might abandon the hip-hop game altogether, but he’s put those worries to bed with today’s announcement.

Blue Chips 7000 will be released via VICE/Atlantic. Go pre-order that right now, cop the $5,000 package if you’re feeling bougie.

8 Action Bronson moments that proves he’s the braziest performer in rap

Come at Action the wrong way while he’s performing and get beat the fuck up. Try to stop him from smoking his weed on stage and he’ll square up with the security you call.

Leave a golf cart unmanned and he’ll hijack that shit. If he needs to head to the bathroom during a set he’ll find a portapotty to use – while still performing.

Action Bronson will stop at nothing when it comes to giving his fans an epic show. Shit, he’ll even put you in a Titus O’Neil torture rack if he fucks with you.

For those who don’t know what a torture rack is, this is what Action will do to you, if you ask politely

In other news, the Queens rapper and Fuck That’s Delicious TV show host promised to drop his album today, Blue Chips 7000.

Last month during his performance at the Rolling Loud festival, Bronson took a moment to update his fans on the project.

“It’s been a minute,” he said. “I’ve been on this motherfuckin’ run, man. Fuck That’s Delicious. All this television shit. But I don’t give a fuck about that no more. Blue Chips 7000 is coming out in a month.”

“I don’t give a fuck if I have to leak it myself. I don’t give a flying fuck,” he added, suggesting that the latest installment to his Blue Chips series didn’t come as quickly as many fans had hoped.

Peep…

I don’t give a fuck if I have to leak it myself? I’m concerned that Action is possibly having some internal issues with Warner Bros. on releasing the project.

The announcement at the Rolling Loud festival came after he tweeted a month earlier that he was putting the finishing touches on Blue Chips 7000.

So where the fuck is Blue Chips 7000? Is Warner Bros. halting the release of a masterpiece? Let my mans Action Bronson free you scum bags. The project is ready.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1 Radio earlier this month, Action hinted to fans again that Blue Chips 7000 would be released on time.

It seems like we aren’t the only one’s eagerly waiting on Action Bronson. Fans are taking to Twitter questioning the delay.

Whatever the situation is the people need Blue Chips 7000. Action, we hear you brother and we know you want us to hear this album.

The music week in review: SZA, Vic Mensa, Beach Fossils, Toro y Moi & more

It’s been a stressful week, folks. The former FBI Director spoke to congress about our lyin’ ass president, the Warriors are about to sweep LeBron, and the F train is bugging.

But it’s Friday, it’s officially nice out, I see some of y’all already taking those summer Fridays, shouts out to you.

We understand you need a soundtrack while you’re ignoring your bosses’ emails, watching the Cavs get swept, or stuck in the tunnel between Broadway/Lafayette and West 4th.

We got you.

Sza – Ctrl

After dropping three singles over the past couple months, SZA dropped her debut studio album on Friday and it’s pretty impressive stuff.

Ctrl blends a bunch of different styles; hip-hop, r&b, soul, and rock music, but it’s SZA’s singular voice and charisma that makes the album work.

The TDE-singed SZA also recruits some of the more fashionable names in hip-hop, with features from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashad, and James Fauntleroy.

Vic Mensa – The Manuscript

Kanye West-approved Chicago native Vic Mensa has been one of the more hyped names in hip-hop since being an XXL freshman in 2014.

Besides appearing on a lot of interesting features (Gorillaz, Kanye, Kaytranada, Flume to name a few), The Manuscript is only Mensa’s third solo release.

The Manuscript runs four songs, but Mensa says it’s only ‘Part 1’ so there’s more to come imminently from the Roc Nation artist.

Chief Keef – Thot Breaker

The second of three mixtapes Sosa promised to release this year is the beautifully named Thot Breaker. Of course there’s some drill-inspired tracks, but Keef is making softer, bouncier music at this point in his career.

“Can You Be My Friend” is Keef’s attempt to jump on the dancehall wave and it’s definitely something.

Keef is great, it’s wonderful to see him flourishing. Glad to see Young Chop and Keef back making music as well (“Slow Dance”), even if it’s very different than what they used to make.

Shouts out to growing up.

Phoenix – Ti Amo

Everyone’s favorite French glam pop band is back and they are doing their little groovy thing again on Ti Amo.

There’s a lot of those signature French electronic drums, extremely palatable guitar riffs, and excitable synthesizers.

Ti Amo is not the most revolutionary album of all time, but it’s hard to be in a bad mood while listening to Phoenix’s bounding, glossy pop music.

Beach Fossils – Somersault

Brooklyn’s favorite band with the word beach in the name (well, at least top three) make their return with Somersault.

Beach Fossils have been one of the more prominent indie bands since 2010’s Beach Fossils introduced the world to their lo-fi surfer rock.

Somersault is bigger and more audacious than the Fossils’ earlier releases as they broke their own mold, taking the filter off frontman Dustin Payseur’s mic and bringing in some different instruments than just their jangly guitars (there’s some jazz flute on Somersault). The risk was well worth it.

Big Thief – Capacity

Another Brooklyn favorite, Big Thief, released their sophomore album after last year’s boldly-named Masterpiece. Big Thief show on Capacity why the indie scene is so excited about them.

Their sound is stripped all the way down, but lead singer Adrianne Lenker fills the void with her voice and the often harsh, traumatic subject matter of her lyrics. Capacity makes more intense listening, but it’s worth the effort.

The Alchemist – “Brother Jedidiah” ft. Action Bronson & Big Body Bes

Everybody’s favorite wax-smoking, gourmet food-eating, shit-talking hip-hop trio are back with “Brother Jedidiah.”

Action raps over a vintage Alchemist beat, with sampled church organs, and Big Body does his thing, yelling about… stuff. It’s certainly entertaining.

Toro y Moi – “Girl Like You”

Toro y Moi did a whole lot on Friday, releasing “Girl Like You” the first single off his upcoming album Boo Boo, which he also announced today with a statement about the anxieties of being famous.

He also changed his name from Chaz Bundick to Chaz Bear, so there’s that.

“Girl Like You” is some great Toro y Moi. We want more of it. Boo Boo is scheduled to arrive July 7th.

Big Boi – “In the South” ft. Gucci Mane, Pimp C

A trio of wonderful southern gentlemen released “In the South,” an old school take on one of hip-hop’s most prominent regions.

With a chorus from the late legend Pimp C and Big Boi and Gucci Mane spitting, “In the South” is an extremely dope single off Big Boi’s upcoming Boomiverse album, slated to drop next week.

Vince Staples – “Rain Come Down”

Vince Staples teams up with Ty Dolla $ign on this menacing number off Staples’ upcoming Big Fish Theory, which drops June 23rd.

Dolla and Staples make up an interesting duo and definitely not the most obvious collaboration ever, but on “Rain Come Down” the two L.A. natives work very well together.
