Johnny Manziel, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback who captivated the sports world with his electric skills, brash attitude, and public battle with addiction, seems to be launching a comeback with his new ComebackSZN clothing label.
With a collection of dad hats, hoodies, t-shirts, and some signed merch, Jonny Football is creating a brand that is as much of a statement of intent as some cool clothes.
The clothes are fire (that Lost In The Sauce dad hat is a personal favorite), but it also points to Johnny’s intention to get back on the football field.
Manziel is not currently getting NFL looks, but he’s in-demand in Canada’s CFL with Hamilton Tiger-Cats said to be in the mix for a deal with the QB. TMZ reported on the negotiations:
“[Manziel’s agent Erik] Burkhardt says Johnny is hopeful they can work out a ‘fair deal’ with the Canadian Football League team — and by that he means a contract ‘on par with what Hamilton has paid their QB in recent years, despite not having much on-field success.’
“Johnny likes the execs in the Hamilton front office — and seems excited to play for coach June Jones … but Burkhardt says the clock is ticking.”
The CFL may not be the most glamorous league in the world, but it could be a great opportunity for the former Heisman winner to get back on the field.
Hey @JManziel2! What do I have to do to get one of these hats signed? @Hawk #ThomaHawk pic.twitter.com/RHUmDlnTKR

It’s been a wild couple years for Johnny Football, from one of the most exciting young talents in football to becoming a cautionary tale of money, fame, and substance abuse derailing a career.
We hope he gets back on the gridiron to do his thing again.
