After winning literally everything this year Cristiano Ronaldo gets FIFA 18 cover

It’s been quite the year for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Since last May he has won the 2016 Champions League with Real Madrid, the 2016 Euro Championship with Portugal, the 2016 Ballon d’Or (given to the best player in the world), the 2016-2017 La Liga trophy with Real Madrid, and the 2017 Champions League with Real Madrid.

At 32 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo has shown zero signs of slowing down, production-wise. His game has changed a bit as he’s lost some of the old speed and quickness he used to have. Ronaldo is no longer the dude who is going to get the ball out on the wing, dribble through a maze of defenders with a series of ridiculous stepovers, and put it top bins like he used to.

Instead, Ronaldo has reinvented himself as the ultimate poacher, sniffing out openings in the defense and putting away chances ruthlessly.

Cristiano’s two goals against Juventus on Saturday show his poaching instincts. He ambles into those dangerous places and finishes with the best strikers in the game.

He will most likely win another Ballon d’Or this year, scoring 42 goals in 46 games across all competitions and breaking the record for career goals in Europe’s top-5 leagues (Spain, England, Italy, Germany, France) set by Jimmy Greaves, who played in the 60s.

Then on Monday, EA Sports announced that Cristiano would be the new face of FIFA 18, the most recent addition to the FIFA Franchise, consistently a top 10 selling video game in the world.

Surprisingly, this is the first time Cristiano has covered the legendary video game.

EA Sports announced the partnership on Monday with a “Reveal Trailer” depicting Ronaldo playing against Chelsea in the new game with a badass soundtrack provided by Avelino.

A close-up of Ronaldo’s face shows the wildness of the graphics and everyone recognizes that trademark free kick routine.

Peep the reveal trailer and get hype for the new FIFA, which will drop sometime in the fall.
