Tyler the Creator’s new album, Scum Fuck Flower Boy, leaked the day before the five year anniversary of Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange and it might be the most revealing project Tyler has ever put out.

The LP is a flowery album indeed as airy instrumentals and synthesizing snares blossom around your eardrums.

Scum Fuck Flower Boy embodies Tyler the Creator – punchy lyrics and stories filled with juicy and racy details. Another epic plus are the features; fellow OFWGKTA member Frank Ocean, legendary rapper Lil Wayne, ASAP Rocky, and much more.

Besides being a complete smash album, Scum Fuck Flower Boy (love the name) is stirring quite the controversy as the project is being said to have a grip of lyrical clues that point towards Tyler’s coming out.

Could Scum Fuck Flower Boy be a coming out album? A couple months before announcing the release date, Tyler took to Twitter to say he had come out “and no one cared.”

Tyler is known for his flippant behavior, but I think he’s serious this time. The song that’s stirring the pot of curiosity – “Garden Shed.” Peep this excerpt:

“Garden shed, garden shed, garden shed
Garden shed for the garçons
Them feelings I was guardin’
Heavy on my mind”

According to Genius’ annotation,

“Tyler uses a garden shed as a representation of a hiding place. This draws parallels to the phrase ‘coming out of the closet,’ which is a metaphor for someone revealing they’re gay. In French, ‘garçons’ means ‘boys.'”

That’s not the only song Tyler hints to his sexuality. On “See You Again” he spits some heat that makes an inkling that he might be bisexual. Check out a piece of the chorus:

“Cupid hit me, cupid hit me with precision
I wonder if you look both ways
When you cross my mind, I said, I said”

Genius might be on to something,

“This is a play on the common advice to look both ways before crossing the street. This is Tyler’s subtle way of mentioning that he thinks about this person often. At the same time, it’s possible that Tyler’s use of ‘both ways’ may be a hint towards bisexuality.”

Tyler speaks on his sexuality again on “I Ain’t Got Time,” where he spits, “I been kissing white boys since 2004.”

Shouts out to Tyler, man. Lord knows coming out on a rap album is sure to get a fair share of pushback and criticism, even though it’s 2017.

We still haven’t heard a response from the Creator, but I’m pretty sure the album answers the question. Plus, he’s busy being interrogated by someone else.
