Vic Mensa’s ‘Autobiography’ already has all the makings of a classic
Vic Mensa’s debut studio album Autobiography is looking like it’s going to be something special. To prove it, the Savemoney artist has been dropping music like wildfire. Yesterday, Mensa dropped two new songs off of the LP – “Rage” and “Wings.”
Mensa took to Instagram and claimed that the Autobiography is his “blood, sweat and tears.” Peep what he had to say about the project:
“It’s such an honor to be giving you all my debut album, The Autobiography. This is my blood sweat & tears, I’m so infinitely grateful to everyone that’s been here with me for the ride. A lot of you were down with me when I was going through some of the hardest parts of my life, and I wrote an album about them, my debut album. I got so much love for the people that support me and I really did this album for y’all. Based on a true story.”
Early last June, Mensa dropped an EP for his fans called the Manuscript. The project is a short preview of what’s to come on Autobiography, it features two tracks that made the official tracklist for the debut album.
“Rollin Like a Stoner” and “OMG” featuring Pusha-T are the two tracks to make it to Vic’s new project. Mensa dropped visuals for the latter track earlier this month on Youtube. It was previously only available to Tidal subscribers.

By looking at this list you can tell from the features this shit is going to be hot. “Wings” with Pharrell and Saul Williams won’t be the only epic feature, Vic managed to pair up with Chief Keef, Weezer, Syd, Ty Dolla Sign, The Dream, and plenty more.
Plus, the executive producer is No I.D., the legendary brain behind the production of Jay-Z’s 4:44, “Heartless” by Kanye West, and “Smile” by G-Unit.
Besides having a list of sick features and excellent production, Vic Mensa also received a co-sign from his boss Jay-Z at a listening party in LA.
The legendary rapper had some choice words for Vic while introducing him:
“Vic is a very special talent. He can do everything – sing well, rap well. He even engineers himself sometimes. He’s an incredible artist, like a once in a lifetime artist.”
