Chris Bosh was a revolutionary basketball player.
When the Miami Heat realized they could play Bosh at center and move LeBron to power forward it unlocked one of the most lethal offenses of all time.
The Heat created a new type of small ball, featuring lineups with the requisite shooting but also pesky defenders who blitzed pick-and-rolls while adequately defending the rim. Basketball fans will always remember Bosh’s signature elbow jumpers off of LeBron’s sweet pocket passes.

The Heat waived Chris Bosh Tuesday ending a three-year saga over his blood clots, which forced him to leave the hardwood. Bosh disagreed with Heat doctors and believed he could still play, even though they had told him strenuous activity could put his life in danger. The Heat will retire Bosh’s number “1.” The former Georgia Tech star will be remembered as a highly skilled competitor who played a major role in two championships.
