James Harden, now richest player in NBA history, gets jersey retired in strip club

After signing a 4-year/$228 million contract extension with the Houston Rockets this summer, it’s safe to say James Harden will continue spending that money in one of his favorite locales, the strip club.

Apparently, Harden’s exploits are so notorious at a specific Houston club that they are hanging his jersey in the rafters.

According to Mal on the “Joe Budden Podcast” James Harden is such a generous patron, he is being honored by the exotic dance club.

Mal said around the 21-minute mark in yesterday’s episode,

“They was doing that because they said James just be going in there spending like… you know what I mean. So they gave him his own jersey hanging from the strip club.”

Ever since being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Houston Rockets before the 2012-2013 season, James Harden has seen his star rise astronomically.

For the first three years of his career, James Harden came off the bench, playing third fiddle to the likes of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant.

Now, he’s an MVP candidate and tabloid fodder; Harden’s relationship with ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian saw him become a subject of interest for celebrity gossip websites.

Now, it’s his strip club prowess that’s getting him attention during the offseason.

But Harden shed the heavy weight of the Kardashian brand and is lighting it up like never before.

He now has the richest contract in NBA history and we know exactly where he’ll be spending a large portion of that bread.

While Harden clearly enjoys himself off the court, it’s not all fun and games for The Beard, who overcame the struggle growing up in Compton to becoming the highest-paid player in NBA history.
