Don’t attempt to rob Bun B, he might just pop you for trying
Bun B had to bust a cap in someone’s derriere last night as he defended his home from a home invasion.
TMZ reports that the Houston rapper overheard his wife offering someone their Audi after answering a knock on the front door to what happened to be an armed masked man demanding valuables.
That’s when the UGK rapper came down with his gun and proceeded to engage in a shoot-out with the intruder who tried to make off with the luxury car. The thief managed to get away but not before leaving his gun behind.
According to TMZ, the masked man showed up at a Houston-area hospital with a gunshot injury to his shoulder several hours later. He was treated for his injuries but then arrested for two counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count burglary.
Local ABC affiliate ABC13 reports, along with the Houston police department, that the man’s name is DeMonte Jackson.

They say the more money you come across the more problems you see, and by looking at the number of rappers who have their chains stolen and houses invaded you’d have to agree.
Soulja Boy’s home was recently burglarized just this month, losing a reported $500,000 worth of jewelry in the process.
Then last year we saw rapper Rich The Kid lose a significant amount of cash and even sustain injuries after being targeted in a home invasion while at his girlfriend house.
And who can forget Big Sean’s house in the Valley being burglarized for about $150,000 worth of jewelry back in 2015?
I don’t know what it is with these rappers but they’re either good at making themselves targets or bad at choosing friends. A lot of times these invasions are reported as inside jobs, which make you think if surrounding yourself with solid people is really that difficult.
Although most likely traumatic for both Bun B and his wife it’s a good thing he was strapped, it’s also a picture-perfect example of how nuanced the second amendment is as our interpretation to it should be.
Why level headed people in this country SHOULD have the right to own a gun, defined … so happy my bro @BunBTrillOG family is safe. #trillstatik for real… 💜 https://t.co/l0xhjW6WWy

Gun reform doesn’t mean loss of gun ownership, just regulation. We want more examples of what happened with Bun B and less of Parkland and Vegas.
It has not been reported that either Bun B or his wife sustained injuries and Bun B has not released a statement yet as of this time.
In the meantime, in the fashion of giving people flowers while they can still smell them, let’s appreciate some of Bun’s latest work:
Kulture Hub was able to capture the process it took for him and Statik Selektah to make their latest album TrillStatik at the New York Studio Factory in Bushwick Brooklyn following their live-streamed recording session in the studio on 4/20.
