It’s time for a change young bloods because these past two years under the Trump administration have been rough! We plea, for those who may exercise their right to elect political candidates to offices, to know that tomorrow, is the time to do so.
The midterm elections might not seem as important as the Presidential election but, in fact, they seem to carry more weight. This year, on Nov. 6, 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, one-third of all U.S. senators, 36 state governors and three U.S. territory governors, and many city mayors are on the chopping block.
No one is asking to you vote against a “certain party” but at this time Americans need to vote responsibly. If we go on for another two years like this, possibly another six if we don’t get our heads screwed on right, this country will be left in shambles.
Beware of those who are against gun control reform (much needed as America makes up 14.8 percent of global gun deaths). Be wary of politicians who do not believe it is a woman’s right to choose whether or not she has a child. Watch out for those who look to split up families with “far-right immigration policies.” Oh, and of course, do not fall victim to the politricks that currently dictate our thoughts.
Simply put, please vote for the better of our country…
Excuses will be made about getting your ballot in. Yet, truthfully there is no excuse. We need everyone to participate because it is your duty as members of American society to do so. Hence we have listed some midterm election day cheat codes to get you to the polls.

There are hella discounts on ridesharing apps
Last month Uber announced that it will be dishing out $10 discounts for anyone that needs a ride to a polling location on Nov. 6th. Lyft is offering a similar promotion in regards to anyone that needs help getting to the polls with a 50 percent markdown on rides across the nation.
This will not be the first time the ride-sharing apps are offering this kind of promotion. Uber is partnering with #VoteTogether and Democracy Works and besides the $10 discounts, the auto/democratic collaboration is offering free $7 rides to those in select communities. In a blog post, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi wrote:
“At Uber, we want to do our part, too — by helping voters register and get to the polls on Election Day.”
Lyft, on the other hand, will be putting in work to ensure we get to the polls. In cahoots with When We All Vote and National Voter Registration Day, Lyft’s passengers, drivers, and the broader community will be prepared for Election Day.

The ride-sharing app knows that it can be difficult for those living in underserved communities to make their way to the polls. For the underprivileged who can’t make it, Lyft will also be providing rides free of cost through multiple nonpartisan and nonprofit partners.
You can take the green route and pedal to the polls for free
Not a fan of ride-sharing here’s a suggestion — PEDAL YOUR WAY TO THE POLLS! Just like our favorite ride-sharing apps, our beloved bicycle and electric scooter sharing apps are dishing out the hookups on Election Day too.
Bike share operator Motivate is holding it down through their partners Citi Bike in New York City and Jersey City, Divvy in Chicago, Bluebikes in Boston, Capital Bikeshare in Washington D.C., Nice Ride Minnesota in Minneapolis, Ford GoBike in the Bay Area of San Francisco, BIKETOWN in Portland and CoGo in Columbus, Ohio.
There’s more! Electric scooter and bike-sharing service Lime will also be generously giving its users across 100 cities the privilege of dipping through traffic freely for up to 30-minutes. Motorized scooter sharing app SKIP is also in tune and will be dishing out $5 credits like candy but only for those who “#SkiptothePolls.”
In a blog post on Medium the company stated:
“We’re proud to support the communities we serve and know building the cities, infrastructure, and world that we want requires us each to do our part. Hope you’ll take time to let your voice be heard!”
