Rihanna is partnering up with Techstyle on a new lingerie line for the low

Rihanna, R&B queen, philanthropist, fashionista, trend-setter, singer, actress, producer, and my personal wet dream, has teamed up Techstyle in order to launch a sexy and classy new lingerie line.

Apparently this new installment has being going on for a while now, just on the low. Both RiRi and Techstyle’s team have refused to comment on the alliance, even though we now know it’s going down.

Maybe the reason for the secrecy is because there’s more to their collab than meets the eye?

Rihanna has been part of the technological revolution for a minute, reaching a wider audience across the globe through her acts of humanitarianism, raising and donating hundreds of millions to charitable causes.

Techstyle’s brand building outreach uses innovative technology to expand both the brand’s product lines and the party’s involved.

“TechStyle is known for its technology-focused approach to brand-building and fashion; the company is said to be able to predict sales exactly using proprietary data and personalization software.”

So far, she’s also partnered with Gucci, Armani, Balmain, and was even announced the creative director of Puma a couple of years back. According to a source speaking to WWD, the partnership will help escalate the company’s yearly revenue.

“The line with Rihanna, the source said, is viewed as a key strategic move in TechStyle’s efforts to file for an initial public offering, something executives have never shied away from discussing as a possible exit option. TechStyle’s raised about $300 million to date.”

Techstyle’s other known brands, Fabletics, JustfabShoedazzle, and Fabkids aren’t new to celebrity collabs in the past, even partnering with Kate Hudson on Fabletics line of athleisure workout clothing and Kim Kardashian with the femme-chic ShoeDazzle.

All that’s left to do is slap a Fenty Beauty label on it and call it a day.

TBH I can’t wait to see what kind of lingerie RiRi approves of and designs. Can you think of anything sexier than throwing on a negligee and pretending you’re Rihanna for the night? ‘Cause I can’t.

‘Thong Jeans’ make debut at Tokyo fashion week and they already need to go

The world has been pretty wonky as of late.

I’m pretty dense when it comes to fashion, but even I can see that this new trend isn’t cutting it.

The “Thong Jeans” trend, which made its debut at Tokyo fashion week, is here thanks to designer Meiko Ban, and the internet isn’t happy about it.

A fashion model hit the runway wearing jeans that were completely torn, leaving just a seam string draped over her legs and booty.

The trend was dubbed as the “most impractical and ugliest thing” one user has ever seen.

Twitter has been going in

Some were a bit more dramatic

https://twitter.com/PolitiKellyRite/status/921067581968207872

Some were ambiguously sarcastic

Some pointed out important related issues

https://twitter.com/Ricki011235/status/920808209132093441

Others were pretty straightforward

https://twitter.com/AmnesiaRose/status/921061793262321664

And some were… supportive?

https://twitter.com/UpgradedCeleb/status/921074360051552256

Practical for giving grandmas heart attacks everywhere, these ultra-ripped jeans leave little to the imagination, but a lot of wonder, as in, “Who in their right mind would ever spend money on this?”

Some view the trend as necessary for the progression of fashion. Metro discusses how the trend was, above all else, expected.

“There have been jeans with double waistbands. Butt-less jeans. Bum crack displaying jeans. Jeans that zip from crotch to back. Jeans with a window for your butt. Detachable jeans that transform into short-shorts at a moment’s notice.”

Denim has been a naturally popular fabric on the runway, so it’s no wonder that experimentations can get a little bit… Carried away.

“So if you’re shocked and appalled that someone has now created thong jeans – meaning jeans with the entire back exposed save for a little string of denim between the bumcheeks, a waistband, ankle straps, and two pieces of denim on each leg attaching it all together – you really shouldn’t be.

What do you think? Fashion faux pas or upcoming fashion fad?

The Supreme Fall/Winter 2017 collection is here and issa cop all around

After much anticipation and excitement, Supreme New York has finally updated their website and released their Fall/Winter 2017 Preview & Lookbook.

It did not disappoint. From pieces like the Hooded Logo Half Zip Pullover to the Scarface The World is Yours Denim Jacket, these are just some the most hyped up items to be released for the upcoming season.

Aside from the always favorite box logo sweatshirt, I think heads will be turned at all of the Scarface collection. From sweatshirts to leather jackets, I guess it’s Scarface everything this year. Al Pacino’s iconic role as Tony Montana will forever be one of the most recognizable characters in cinema history. So it comes as no surprise as to why Supreme chose to use it on multiple pieces.

Their glorification of mob and gangster films can be traced to their earlier days when they used stuff from Goodfellas. So this was just a matter of time.

Obviously, collabs are something else to be expected from this season. So let’s hope the momentum keeps going. The big question now is: will you cop?

Here’s the Nas tee we talked about not to long ago

Fit Watch: 10 LA streetwear brands on the come up

The rivalry between East Coast and West Coast is a tale as old as time.

Since we just took a look at NYC’s up and coming brands there was no way we couldn’t check out what LA had to offer. LA already has a crazy line up when it comes streetwear brands.

Brands like The Hundreds, Diamond Supply Co., and Undefeated all have brought their own twist to streetwear.

Sure, New York got the heat but you gotta respect what LA has come out with. They bring a totally different vibe, which is dope cause you gotta diversify the closet.

These up and comers are sick and absolutely worth checking out.

Just don’t be surprised when you see some of these brands compared to the biggest names in streetwear in the coming years.

These brands are mostly known only in LA but once they start reaching the East coast you better hope you copped now or it’ll be to late.

Brain Dead

A post shared by BRAIN DEAD (@wearebraindead) on

Brain Dead is based out of LA but is a collaboration of artists and designers from around the world. They recently put out a very lit Vans collab.

Their designs may be a little wild but that is never a bad thing. It helps them stand out.

If they keep doing what they’re doing there’s no doubt they’ll blow up.

Babylon LA

A post shared by Babylon (@babylon.la) on

Babylon LA is a skate brand with their very own skate bowl in the backyard. All their pieces are sick but with their most recent Budweiser collab, they really killed it.

It don’t matter whether you like clothing or skating, Babylon LA has something for you. Keep an eye out for them because we don’t know what fire they might drop next.

Swapmeet

A post shared by S₩APMEET® (@swapmeet.la) on

Swapmeet defines themselves as a brand where they tell stories with their clothes. For them “Everything’s for sale.”

Their simple designs are dope and you won’t have to go crazy looking for a good fit.

The Nike Cortez collab was fire and I would definitely keep an eye out for future drops.

Future Replica

A post shared by @futurereplica on

Since 2011 Future Replica has continued to drop dope clothes. Many of their designs are reminiscent of older brand logos like Playstation 2 and FILA.

They are definitely worth a follow as what they’ve done so far has been too nice to pass up.

Pleasure.now

With a name like Pleasures Now you might expect a playful light-hearted brand but instead their designs are very dark with sprinkles of humor.

It might not be for everyone but it is still fire. With time this brand will surely spread and we’ll see a new big name in streetwear.

MintCrew

A post shared by MintCrew (@mintcrew) on

Mintcrew is a high-end brand that’s influenced by the classic LA streetwear aesthetic.

They aren’t too expensive compared to other high-end LA brands so your paycheck won’t be beat.

Their tees are long so you know they’ll go great when you decide to layer. A lot of their clothing is sold out so you might wanna get on before it’s too late.

Hypland

A post shared by HYPLAND WORLDWIDE (@hypland) on

Hypland might be based in LA but they don’t let that limit them.

They mix culture from around the world into their designs so that you can rock their clothing wherever.

Their concept is dope and I would love to see where else they go. Don’t sleep on Hypland cause they will definitely drop some heat.

BornxRaised

This means a lot to me. The GOAT. King Kendrick. #thedamntour

A post shared by bornxraised (@bornxraised) on

BornxRaised (Born and Raised) is just too clean.

So many of their designs scream Cali. If you want to rep that LA look, Born x Raised is for you. This brand is fresh and they even got King Kendrick himself wearing them.

If you’re not already on this then you bout to take an L.

RHUDE

A post shared by R H U D E (@rhudedesigns) on

Founded back in 2014, RHUDE aims to make a simple design that appeals to younger generations. They describe their brand thusly:

“RHUDE focuses on minimalistic effortless style mixed with streetwear sensibilities, using fine fabrics and focus on fit. Rhude celebrates the youth and elegance through simple and functional clothes.”

They accomplish those goals and they do it well. What they have on their website is dope and clearly Future agrees. They are pricier than most other brands on this list but if you got the bread and want something nice RHUDE is worth it.

Virgil Normal

A post shared by Virgil Normal (@virgilnormal) on

Founded on the corner of Virgil and Normal, Virgil Normal, sells a wide range of items besides clothing.

Their clothing is hot and people will easily recognize you’re rocking an LA brand from the logo.

Their site is absolutely worth a look as they have other brands if you don’t like what they offer (but they probably got something for you).

Fit Watch: 10 New York streetwear brands on the come up

Living in New York is hard, especially when it comes to rocking the flyest gear. As the fall season quickly approaches you’re gonna need to cop some new gear so that people don’t forget the swag.

You wanna stand out, not be some lame who rocks whatever’s hot so you shouldn’t have to wear your Thrasher shirts, joggers, and Timbs once you’re done reading this. Actually you might want to keep those Timbs around.

Don’t sleep on these brands or your wallets are gonna hurt once you have to pay that eBay resale. Let’s be real, Supreme and BAPE ain’t cheap but lucky for you these brands won’t break the bank and you’ll still look good.

People will see you and you’ll be hailed as “the man of tomorrow.” A$AP Mob will come to you for their future fits all ’cause you were ahead of the game.

This list of upcoming New York brands will propel you to the top of the pecking order.

Rulez of Rebelz

You can now purchase the 69 GANG collection at @basemnt.conceptstore based in Kiev, Ukraine 💥🔫

A post shared by RULEZ OF REBELZ (@rulezofrebelz) on

Rulez of Rebelz was started by an 18-year-old college student Brian D. Wolfe. His brand has gone through various name changes like Royal Triumph and No Rulz.

His dark designs help his brand stand out from the rest and many big names have been seen wearing his apparel.

People like Swizz Beatz, Theophilus London, and Sofia Richie have all been seen rocking Wolfe’s brand. As more and more famous figures wear his brand it is only a matter of time before Rulez of Rebelz explodes.

All Timers

Alltimers Forever 🍸 New Summer stuff available tonight at midnight 7/1 🌝

A post shared by The Alltimers League (@alltimers) on

All Timers started back in 2013 and are known for their quirky skate decks. This alone makes them stand out from the rest of the skate brands.

Their decks take the shape of anything you can think of. Rihanna? Yup. An Optimum remote? Yup. And before you even ask, yes Gumby from the 1988 show Gumby Adventures is also a deck.

Their clothing is an added bonus to the already solid brand that is All Timers. Don’t sleep on this or it’ll be too late.

Kid Super

My favorite look. Been designing the new line 🔥🔥 📷 by @john___ellis styled by @katiebrannock

A post shared by KidSuper (@kidsuper) on

Kid Super comes from the imagination of Colm Dillane who owns more than just a clothing store. The brand also serves as studio, backyard, and living space.

On Dillane’s website you can find his different art pieces, varying from claymation to paintings. His designs are innocent and complex.

Dillane’s unique designs will surely see Kid Super become the next big streetwear brand.

Belief

📷: @derekwood

A post shared by Belief® (@beliefnyc) on

Belief is the hard work of three friends and their shared dream to do something they love.

Through their store that they hope to inspire others to reach for their dreams, which explains the name and motto “Ever Upwards.”

You gotta respect the work they’re doing and the sick clothes they make. They are only getting more and more popular so don’t be surprised when Belief is everywhere.

Stationary Denim

@silasjune wearing our Pray Prey jacket…

A post shared by Stationary Denim (@stationarydenim) on

Stationary Denim is — you guessed it — a denim streetwear brand out of the Bronx. But they do work outside of denim as well, a look at their campaigns shows much more than just denim.

What they are doing is sick and no doubt has potential to blow up. Definitely keep an eye out for Stationary Denim, what they have dropped so far has been too clean.

Stay Cool NYC

Mood All Summer Long Www.Staycoolnyc.com Enter Code “Family” For 10% Off Your First Order

A post shared by STAYCOOLNYC ™ (@staycoolnyc) on

Stay Cool NYC claims to bring something new to streetwear with what they call “Chillwear.”

Skate, surf, and streetwear come together with a little retro vibe to make up what Stay Cool NYC and it works well.

All their designs rep an array of colors that combine to make some dope pieces. Get on the Stay Cool NYC train now or you’ll be too late.

Rōnin Division

Neo Tokyo

A post shared by RŌNIN (@ronindivision) on

Rōnin seems is a clothing brand based out of New York with heavy Eastern influences. They already have a solid following so their clothes are selling out but it might not be too late to cop.

It makes sense though as many of their pieces just look so good. Their following will only get bigger from here on out so hop on this quick or be prepared to pay resale.

QuarterSnacks

QuarterSnacks is a Skate brand first and foremost with their own crew that goes anywhere and everywhere to skate.

They’ve made some pretty dope collabs with big name companies like Nike and DSM.

As they slowly amass a larger skate following eventually even common folk will buy and QuarterSnacks will blow up.

Nine One Seven

New stuff available now

A post shared by (917) 692-2706 (@callme917) on

Created by Supreme team’s very own Alex Olson, 917 plays very much to New York.

Made in the USA, Olson’s many designs are definitely inspired by his time skating around New York.

With many of Supreme’s offshoots getting hype there’s no doubt Olson’s brand will gain a huge following. If you like 917 check out his other brand Bianca Chandon.

Artillery Concern

Artillery Concern is the creation of Gabriel Martins and Mei Tan who focus on creating high quality outerwear.

Martins started Artillery’s design back in 2011 and has since been working on the brand.

Although there is still no product out, from what we’ve seen from their season one look book there is no doubt this brand is fly and deserves some love.
