Cardi B vows to be less ratchet, better example for her young fans
Weeks after being the first female rapper to reach number one on the Billboard Top 100 list since Lauryn Hill, Cardi B has decided it’s time for a change.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper said she wants to now be a better example for her young fans in an Instagram video captioned, “For my wittle ones.”
“A lot of little girls be looking up to me, and they love me and I’m thinking to myself, ‘I really gotta be a better example.'”
The revelation happened after Halloween, when little girls were dressing up and acting like the rap queen.
“I been trying to be more like, you know, like PG-13. Less rated R. But I be hanging out with my hood rat friends, and they just fuck me up all over again. But I’m going to change for y’all.”
Recently, Cardi B and Migos’ Offset got engaged, though don’t expect to hear Offset dishing details anytime soon.
Maybe it’s time to settle down and start thinking of the future? She seems open to the idea of kids.
She’s expressed her affinity for “changing” before. Peep one of her Instagram rants:
Well Cardi, whatever you’ve done so far has brought you a 12.5 million followers on Instagram and a No. 1 hit, so clearly you’re doing something right.
It’s great that you want to “clean up” for the little ones, but keep being the best you!
