Cam’ron spills the tea on that infamous confrontation with Bill O’Reilly

Cam’ron has really been in the game for 20 years strong, showing no signs of slowing down. He brought wearing pink to hip-hop, freestyled while counting his own bread, dropped some of the iconic tracks in hip-hop history, remixed Vanessa Carlton, and, of course, roasted Bill O’Reilly.

In the now infamous interview, Bill O’Reilly brought on Cam’ron and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash to discuss how hip-hop was ‘hurting American youths.’

Bill O’Reilly thought he could talk down to Cam and Dame Dash, but they had the receipts, they did their homework, and countered everything O’Reilly tried them with.

The lasting images of this rather un-substantive debate are Cam’ron taunting O’Reilly with shouts of, “you mad” and then claiming “I got dirt on you doggy!”

So when a bombshell New York Times article broke in April alleging that Fox News had paid $13 million in hush money to victims of sexual harassment by O’Reilly, people immediately went back to Cam’s assertion that he had dirt on the Fox News host.

In a recent interview, Noisey talked to Cam about that infamous showdown and the fallout from O’Reilly’s departure. Cam said he was clued into what was really good with O’Reilly before going on ‘The O’Reilly Factor,’

“As far as all of the sexual allegations—before I went up there, what I did was my publicist had told me about a lot of that stuff, but instead of being serious with him, we had so much fun clowning him that it just turned into a roast session and we just started laughing at him. I had a good time when I did it because I didn’t really know the background of him at that particular time. Like I said, I probably was prepped an hour before I went to the show. It was more funny than anything else. But you know, sexual assault really isn’t funny, so if he really did those things, then it’s good that Fox got rid of him.”

Cam’ron the statesman.

In other Cam news, he claims to have two albums dropping this year and is also writing an accompanying movie.

Shoutout Cam’ron for always keeping it a buck, making O’Reilly look like the odious cretan he is, and being a legend of the game.

Keep it locked for any further Cam updates.
