Intense movie moments from 10 gambling flicks that put us on edge

There’s nothing like a suspenseful flick or those intense movie moments that put us over the edge. We’re addicted to the thrill of sabotage whether our favorite character is a gambling savage or just a lethal nuisance to society.

Directors put in the work to make scene after scene cinematically hit and keep us gripping our seats. Plus nothing is better than watching your favorite actor/actress on screen absolutely go through it.

Constantly we enter the void of suspense, intense couch gripping, and teeth grinding movie moments when we watch films like this. But can we really help it?

In real life, it’s an entirely different story. Whether you physically go to a casino or play online, you’re taking a risk that can lead to great rewards. So, of course you’ll have those feelings of excitement and suspense since there is no guaranteed outcome.

Here’s our list of gambling films with the most intense movie moments, we’ve ever seen.

1. The Safdie Bros keep us locked to the screen for Uncut Gems (2019)

First on our list of gambling movies to watch, is Uncut Gems. If if it’s one thing we’ve learned, the Safdie Brothers have mastered the art of the thrill.

Here, for the NYT, they break down the intense movie moment for their flick Uncut Gems where the lead character Howard Ratner (played by Adam Sandler) goes through obstacles of stress in an attempt to get away from the demons that his gambling addiction has summoned.

2. “All on black…” Mark Wahlberg’s stellar performance in The Gambler (2014)

It’s alright… you can exhale. In this remake of the 1974 version directed by Karel Reisz, Mark Wahlberg’s character Jim Bennett goes through hell trying to get his life back on track.

His gambling debt and addiction to losing pushes him to borrow money from not only his mother but also a daunting loan shark, who’s not playing any games.

For this role Mark actually dropped 61 lbs. Talk about dedication.

3. Aaron Sorkin raises the stakes with Molly’s Game (2017)

Based on the story of “Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game and became an FBI target,” Molly’s Game takes intense movie moments to the next level.

In an interview about the gambling flick with Seth Myers, he was asked ‘Do you realize now the difficulties directors have had directing your scripts?’ Sorkin spoke on the challenges of directing his first film:

“I don’t understand why at least three of them haven’t punched me in the face…”

– Aaron Sorkin, Late Night with Seth Meyers 2017

4. The Big Short gives us new perspective on big money (2015)

If you’re not talking Wall Street money then what are we talking about? This Oscar-winning flick zones in on the corruption of the US housing market during 2005 – 2007.

Taking more than a gamble in this scene Dr. Michael Burry, played by Christian Bale, finds an oddity after analyzing subprime MBSs pushing him to bet against bonds that seemed “promising.”

Serving as Adam McKay’s directorial debut The Big Short is jampacked with intense movie moments you surely won’t forget.

5. When it comes conning American Hustle takes the cake (2013)

Another amazing performance by Christian Bale, American Hustle reminds us that life is surely one hell of a gamble. Stacked with star-power this fictional movie is filled with, FBI agents, fraudulent savagery, and frightful mafia gangsters.

Director David O. Russell killed this movie with creative intense must seen moments.

6. What do you know about counting cards? 21 shows us how (2008)

Yeah, yeah we know Kevin Spacey is canceled but 21 is still kind of gas. Another “based on a true story” gambling flick, 21’s story is about six MIT students who get coerced into taking their talents to the dark side in counting cards.

And although it is directed by one of the hottest/trash directors of our generation, Robert Luketic, this movie still gets the job done when it comes to intense movie moments.

7. Things get real in The Color of Money (1986)

“You gotta have two things to win. You gotta have brains and you gotta have balls. Now, you got too much of one and not enough of the other.”

– Eddie to Vincent , The Color of Money 1986

Tom Cruise x3! Throw in some Paul Newman and you have The Color of Money.

Directed by Martin Scorcese this flick is filled with suspenseful movie scenes centered around pool hall hustling. We couldn’t leave this one off our intense gambling movie moments list.

Watch The Color of Money now (click here).

8. It’s pedal to the medal in Baby Driver (2017)

Baby Driver focuses on a certain kind of lifestyle. A lifestyle that calls for high-risk stunts, dirty money, and suspenseful hijinks that’ll have you running from the law.

Directed by Edgar Wright this movie taps into the life of a young man named Baby, played by Ansel Elgort, who has a hearing impairment but a little secret… Debt to a crime boss, who values his role in his well planned bank robberies.

This is a different type of gambling. One that calls for a plethora of mental manuevering and intelligent cunning.

9. Rounders reminds us to keep our poker face on (1998)

Matt Damon is one hell of an actor and in Rounders we see him under “the pressure.” A dash of John Malkovich and a sprinkle of Edward Norton and you have a killer movie.

This is big stakes poker, money owed to loan sharks, and a life balancing act all jam-packed into two hours of intense movie moments. In fact, via IMDB:

Matt Damon and Edward Norton played the $10,000 buy-in Texas Hold ‘Em (No Limit) championship event at the 1998 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. During the first of four days, Matt Damon had pocket Kings and was knocked out by former world champion and poker legend Doyle Brunson who held pocket Aces.

From the YouTube video cover alone you already know the vibes.

Yams Day 2021 is here! 10 nostalgic pics of A$AP Yams that still go hard

RIP A$AP Yams! Another year has gone by and for another year Yams Day is going down on January 18, 2021. But this time around, the concert has gone completely virtual.

The culture can’t help but throw some respect on A$AP Yams’ name. And 2021 shouldn’t be any different, like they really thought COVID could stop this.

FOH! We are Yamborghini High, oh so COZY, and still trying to evolve to our most boss selves. So, in honor of Yams Day, we’ve compiled pics from A$AP Yams’ life that proved he would, forever, inspire countless generations of aspiring bosses.

1. A$AP Yams smile lit up a room

If it’s one thing we know A$AP Yams was one hilarious guy. From his Twitter feed to his cameos in A$AP Mob videos, it was easy to tell that his happiness was contagious.

Mans had the jokes…

2. His f*ck you attitude set the tone

Yams’ attitude set the tone for this generation of ragers. That same energy was translated into the work the he put in daily to bring A$AP Mob to the forefront of the culture.

If he had an idea, he made it happen and didn’t give a fuck what anyone thought. Here he’s captured by photographer Brock Fetch in his natural elements.

3. A$AP Yams loved his Coogi

“Coogi down to the socks like I’m Biggie Poppa…” A$AP Yams was really about that Coogi life and if you told him something different he wasn’t hearing it.

Ahead of Yams Day 2021 the photographer of this image, Chad Batke, got one the most iconic images of the hip-hop executive in a gallery. The exhibition titled CONTACT HIGH: A Visual History of Hip-Hop at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi.

The exhibition is a collection of over 40 years of images. Yams going worldwide on us.

4. Yammy was the original CoZ boy

This pic of A$AP Yams is the throwback.

On November 13, 1988, is when CoZ culture was born. Since birth A$AP Yams has made more than an effort to ensure his fits were not only fly but comfortable.

So much so, A$AP Mob and their fearless leader were working on an album before the legend’s untimely death. Titled Cozy Tapes: Vol 1 the album would usher in a new era of swag.

Cozy Tapes: Vol 1 Album Cover

The crew was only able to finish the album after Mama Yams granted the Mob access to Yamborghini’s black book. In that Black Book, he wrote all of his ideas down.

Ferg told Complex in an interview:

[Yams] had this thing called The Black Book where he wrote all his ideas, and his mother granted us the access to go through it and complete his vision.

I want to continue my brother’s legacy and continue to complete his vision that he started. It gives me meaning to life. If I don’t have the energy to do [something] for myself, I can do it for him. It wasn’t like we had to make time for it. Wherever we was at in the world, we all came together and did it. It wasn’t an option.

[ASAP Mob] helped build who I am and what I’ve become. There’s no me without them.

That’s why Yams Day is so special…

5. Flyness to him was an objective but he always kept it lowkey

A$AP Yams getting a shape up, photographer uknown

The OG embodied flyness in everything he did. Whether it was music, style, or business he had to keep a sharp hairline at all times and a low tip nail. At the end of the day, he knew that if you felt fly you should always show it off.

But not too much… There are levels to this shit.

Nevertheless, although he was always dripped and putting it on for the A$AP mob behind the scenes, he always remained humble. He never allowed his success to outshine his boys.

And that, everyone has to respect.

6. A$AP Yams always stayed true to himself and music

As a youngin the late hip-hop executive knew he wanted to tap into the music. At 15 he was managing an artist, during that time he paid very close attention to the people who were born on the block and stayed on the block.

Little did he know he would become an icon.

7. He always strived to prosper and his mom is proud

As we look to Yams Day 2021 we can’t help but forget A$AP Yams legacy, his iconic pics, or the imprint he’s left on the culture. We know his crew, his fans, and his mom couldn’t be prouder.

Long Live A$AP Yams.

Dear creatives: Why you need to keep creating in 2021

Dear Creatives,

This year was tough…

Still you’ve inspired us. You’ve inspired me.

The universe tried to stop us from creating. And circumstance pulled out all of the stops in an attempt to prevent us from pursuing what we love. Our passions.

Projects were halted, budget discussions became a whisper, and teams were broken up. Still, for those that adapted and are still surviving in the midst of insanity, this year will be one for us to keep close. The word we need to remember going into 2021 — RESILIENCE.

So many stories inspired us to keep going this year. From our #QuartineComeback initiative to our Finally Focused: NY to LA series it seems as if nothing can stop creatives from pursuing their dreams.

A lot happened in this past 365 and we were there for it. The marches and protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement birthed new forms of heroes. Advocates in pursuit of justice.

It was through their persistence we found inspiration to partner with The Gathering For Justice to create our Advocate Daily series. Not to mention, the platforms that allowed us to showcase what we do as a brand — inspire.

From our interview with Veterans Minimum to getting a spot on an All Black Everything panel, this year we really leveled up. To all the interns that worked with us too, thank you for helping us push forward.

To the dear creatives in our community, we reach our arm out to you and hope that the content we made throughout 2020 will continue to inspire you in the new year.

Thus far we’ve touched over one million creative souls out there and we plan on continuing to help more in their efforts to turn their passions into careers.

Always remember — There’s more to life. And the time we have on this earth is limited so we might as well do what we love.

A toast to 2021… May it bring more creativity.

Bless up,

Claude J. Easy

Rowdy Rebel is free: So what should you know going into 2021?

Six years ago Rowdy Rebel went to jail and six years later we couldn’t be more hype for his release, just wait until Bobby Shmurda gets out.

2021 is feeling to hit different as we get over all the loss and hardships we’ve endured in 2020 — we’ve lost a lot of young legends this year.

More than a dozen rappers passed away: Pop Smoke, King Von, Fred the Godson the list goes on… Not to mention rappers still facing jail time in 2021 like Cassanova and Lil Wayne, SMH. It’s just too much.

Still, Rowdy Rebel’s release gives us hope for a whole new wave of energy (Free Bobby Shmurda). With that said, here’s what we’ll be reminded of once Rowdy Rebel starts dropping music again.

Knowing everything about keeping your “shmoney” right

If there’s one thing Rowdy Rebel knew what to do it was making money. Whether it be in the skreets hustling or making moves with music executives, he always made sure that he and GS9 ate.

In Rowdy Rebel’s last interview before getting arrested, he dishes a little wisdom to Forbez DVD inreviewer Doggie Diamonds:

” Be cool with your business manager… Make sure you know his every step… Know every dollar that comes before him and every time he spends a dollar.”

– Rowdy Rebel

Six years before his release Rowdy Rebel chopped it up with Sway where he discussed how life has changed since his crew member Bobby Shmurda blew up off his single “Hot Ni**a.”

Here the Brooklyn rapper reminds us about his wisdom in dealing with stacking that paper.

“Stacking that paper was nothing to me. And plus it’s not how you get the money, it’s how you’re going to save that jawn. It’s easy to get the bread but it’s hard to save it.”

– Rowdy Rebel

Kepping your circle tight like Rowdy Rebel’s GS9 crew

F*ck with us and then we tweaking hoe….

If there’s anything we’ve learned from the GS9 crew it’s that they have each other’s backs. Bobby took more time for Rowdy in order for him to get back out there.

There’s no dry snitching for real OGs. Maybe 6IX9INE can learn a thing or two from the tight-knit circle the Brooklyn crew has curated.

In an interview for Thisis50 Rebel sat down with RoseD where she asked about the rapper’s early beginnings and how his circle has changed since his crew blew up.

“A lot of people around me still but I had to manage that out. Life is not a movie you can’t just cancel someone out… You just go your way and Imma go my way”

– Rowdy Rebel

Stay true to self and spread love… Just keep it a stack

Listen it goes without saying that if you lie about where you come from in pursuit of clout things will always end badly.

Whether it be an internet cancellation or getting your chain jacked, no one can put respect on anyone’s name that represents falsehood. And if it’s one thing we know it’s that Rowdy Rebel has always been through and true.

In an interview with old head Ebro, Rowdy said:

“There’s a lot of phonies, a lot of fakes. You’re supposed to spread love… Everybody can win. Everybody can do something good in their life. Don’t hate on anyone bro.”

Happy you’re (kinda) free, home, and that you’re making music again, Rowdy Rebel Free Bobby Shmurda!

Why Manna Vitamins pushes for ensured vitamin efficiency

Ensured vitamin efficiency comes down to a vitamin’s ability to be absorbed into our bloodstreams and Manna Vitamins is doing just that. When we pop a few vitamins as part of our daily health routine, we usually don’t think too long and hard about it.

We imagine that the vitamins are doing exactly what the vitamins’ bottle claims that it does: delivering us the nutrients we need to supplement our current diets or make sure we’re getting more of what our bodies are missing.

And yet, on closer look, it appears that there may be a bit of a placebo effect going on for some popular vitamins that we find in stores. Why? Not all vitamins are actually as efficient as we’ve trusted them to be.

A vitamin’s efficiency comes down to its ability to be absorbed into our bloodstreams. This sounds standard and fairly straightforward, but a certain set of circumstances must “go right” in order for this to happen.

The vitamins must be prepared and manufactured in a way that ensures that the nutrients make it through the digestive stage and then deploy once they’ve arrived in the individual’s bloodstream.

And, as we’re coming to learn, this isn’t the case for all vitamins. In fact, a very slim percentage of vitamins available to consumers have taken absorption into consideration.

Manna Vitamins for Liposomal Delivery

Manna Vitamins are addressing the vitamin inefficiency process head-on through the way that vitamins are manufactured. All of their nutrients are packaged into what’s called ‘liposomes’ for liposomal delivery.

This makes them up to 500% more effective than any store-bought vitamins because this liposomal material is made of the same material as the body’s cells.

As a result, the cells take on the nutrients more easily and readily, because it recognizes the liposome surrounding as ‘its own.’

With a growing focus on health, immunity, and wellness, it’s more important than ever to ensure that when we’re taking vitamins, we are absorbing all of the nutrients.

After all, the more nutrients that are absorbed, the more benefits the body will reap. If the nutrients are not delivered to the bloodstream, it becomes almost unnecessary to take the vitamins.

How Liposomal Delivery Works

Liposomal delivery works by helping to deliver the nutrients through the body’s digestive system and into the small intestine. That ensures that more of the nutrients are available for absorption.

Alternatively, store-bought or typical vitamins tend to be ineffective because they’re digested too quickly. When this digestive breakdown happens because the vitamins are water-soluble, the nutrients never actually make it to the bloodstream.

Vitamins must make it to the bloodstream in order to be effective and give the body the nutrients it needs. Manna Vitamins also know how to ‘activate’ the efficiency of certain vitamins through their manufacturing process.

“Many don’t know this, but Vitamin C should ideally be broken down in the small intestine, and needs to be broken down alongside other proteins to be effective at all,” explained Jeff Hill, the co-founder of Manna.

“Liposomal delivery works as an expedited delivery to the small intestine, so that the breakdown of nutrients can begin and work efficiently.” Manna Vitamins has already had verifiable success in peer-reviewed studies.

Specifically, oxidative stress (which refers to the presence of damaging free radicals in a person’s bloodstream), was significantly lower in the group that took Vitamin C through liposomal delivery as opposed to those who took a placebo vitamin.

This has serious ramifications for health and immunity.

The push for ensured vitamin efficiency

Manna has expanded beyond Vitamin C to offer other vitamins, minerals, and supplements such as Magnesium for brain health, curcumin for anti-inflammatory measures, COQ10 for immunity and heart health, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3 + K2, Zinc, Sleep Complex, and Immune+.

All of Manna’s products are non-GMO, gluten-free, sugar free, and soy free with no artificial fillers, and have been researched in depth to ensure potency, purity, and composition of all of the nutrients (this purity is critically important when they can be absorbed in the way that liposomal delivery ensures).

Chiefly, Manna is ensuring vitamin efficiency and nutrient absorption through their prioritization of this liposomal delivery. Many who take Manna notice results in just a few days because of the rapid nature of the absorption.

This is what separates them from all other vitamins on the market today, posing the question, “Why should you take vitamins unless you know they’ll be delivered to your bloodstream?”

As science has caught up to ensure efficiency in the measures we take for health, Manna is on the cutting edge, studying vitamin efficiency in-depth and delivering it to its customers.

Frustration to celebration: Let’s talk about menstrual health

The maintenance of menstrual health is nothing short of frustrating for most women worldwide, because periods are different for each woman each time.

The broad range of physical, emotional and psychological experiences that stem from periods take a toll on the livelihoods of sufferers through their efforts to push forward despite what they’re experiencing inside.

Mismanagement and mishandling of menstrual health

Due to symptoms such as cramps, nausea, fatigue, heavy legs, bloating, back pain, anxiety, and headaches, women often turn to commercial supplements for relief.

However, many women are not aware of the fact that it is best advised for supplements to be taken during the entire cycle, not only on the days of the actual period.

PMS is most effectively managed when all phases of the menstrual cycle are supported, not just the luteal phase when PMS symptoms commonly show up.

The body’s stores of many nutrients are in flux throughout the menstrual cycle, and sometimes they’re at their lowest point before PMS symptoms manifest.

Those dips can trigger more intense symptoms, so it’s important to supplement consistently and proactively to ensure they don’t happen. While that knowledge is great and sounds simple enough, it can get tricky for such insights to be shared amongst women in some traditional settings.

The traditional social attitudes surrounding menstruation are of no help when it comes to menstrual health. Such attitudes end up inhibiting the willingness of women to talk about their experiences. However, that is beginning to change, and conversations are taking place.

Women now are collectively more open about their menstrual health, and the discomforts they are experiencing.

The dialogue surrounding periods has also gained more ground within media representations, and across social media channels, thereby normalizing conversations that were previously considered taboo.

The need for a major revamp

Times have changed, and so should the way that menstrual health is treated. It is still as much a hassle as ever, and most women aren’t aware of the full extent of their options that could make their periods more manageable.

Natural and nontoxic options are the best options for period relief. The lack of variety in such options was frustrating for Mimi Millard, the founder and CEO of De Lune, a menstrual health company creating natural, research-backed solutions for period symptom relief.

menstrul health expert
Mimi Millard, the founder and CEO of De Lune

De Lune was born from Millard’s personal frustration with the lack of natural options for period relief, after experiencing an adverse reaction to a popular painkiller that landed her in the hospital.

She spent years searching for nontoxic solutions to her own debilitating period pain, and ultimately founded De Lune to build a world where menstrual wellness is supported and celebrated.

“Over 90% of people with periods experience monthly symptoms,” says Millard.

“Currently, the status quo treatment option for period pain and other common symptoms are over-the-counter painkillers, or Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), which are used by an estimated 67% of menstruating women…

Millard continued, “Although these drugs are well-researched, they still demonstrate a failure rate of roughly 20%, have not advanced since the 1970s, and come with a host of well-documented side effects, some of which are potentially severe.”

De Lune offers natural, nontoxic, no-nonsense solutions to period pain, and PMS. Their team mindfully analyzes leading science for the most effective herbal and nutritional ingredients for period problems to provide safe and healthy options for all, so that drugs with side effects are not the only option.

Looking ahead

When it comes to menstrual health, basic know-how such as getting sufficient rest, reducing caffeine/alcohol intake, and drinking plenty of water is certainly helpful in its own right.

However, when additional comfort is needed in the form of supplements- natural is the way to go. In terms of the future, it’s high time that women became aware of natural options. The best ways for them to become aware of these options would be through media campaigns, education in schools, and at the policy level.

Despite the level of progress, open conversations surrounding menstrual health still have a long way to go in order to become more normalized.

A survey of 90,000 women conducted by Clue, showed that only 32% of women in the U.S. stated they are comfortable talking to female classmates or colleagues about their periods. 24% in Japan, 29% in Russia, and 34% in Canada.

By contrast, 96% of women in the Philippines, 94% in Denmark, and 93% in Spain said they are comfortable discussing their periods with female friends and acquaintances. Having more conversations will normalize the topic of menstrual health, and further, empower girls and women alike.

It is critical for all menstruating people to have the knowledge and access to information needed to protect their menstrual health, as it would ultimately play a role in their overall health.

As an extra precaution, it is advised for women to always talk to their doctor about the supplements they are taking.

How MAGA supporter Lil Pump became ‘Little Pimp’ for the clout

If you’re reading this, it’s too late… Over the course of 24 hours, clout rapper and avid MAGA supporter Lil Pump has already pulled up on President Donald Trump and was dubbed a ‘Lil Pimp’.

Shaking my damn head. If everyone wasn’t already on edge about the 2020 Presidential Election, Lil Pump’s MAGA endorsement couldn’t have come at a worse time.

But, if anything, we should’ve expected this.

Lil Pump’s chase for clout over the years

Out the gate, we’ve known Lil Pimp was a tad off and he’s been honest about that, at least. Still, this hurts a little, just a tad. Why?

The volatile young souls who were on the fence about who they wanted to support look to the clout rapper’s music for inspiration. Sad to say, but it is facts!

His hit “Gucci Gang” broke the mainstream in 2017 and from that point, every rapper and their auntie wanted a feature from the clout phenomenon.

The triple-platinum track would set the tone for his career as industry heads and onlookers in the rap world grabbed their popcorn and launched bags of money at Lil Pump.

His self-titled debut mixtape would feature hip-hop heads’ favorite rappers and more.

If that wasn’t enough to validate Lil Pimp’s name in the industry he would follow up with feature after feature and viral videos throughout 2018. Big profile collaborations would come easily.

A dash of his virality on a Diplo track there and a sprinkle of his artistry in the Deadpool 2 movie soundtrack here would take Lil Pump to new heights.

Then it happened… Lil Pump’s music would catch the ears of maestro and ex-MAGA supporter Kanye West. Together the two would tap award-winning visionary Spike Jonze and drop the viral visuals for “I Love It.”

At over half a billion views the video remains a cultural game-changer. And ending 2018 with a bang would set up the Little Pimp to drop his second mixtape Harverd Dropout.

A combination of fame, legal issues, and drug addictions would lead to severe mental health problems for the Gucci Gang rapper. And after a short quiet period, he would break his silence…

A man in search of great clout is destined for a great fall

On March 30, 2019 Lil Pump hit a brick wall and sent out warning signs that he was not in the right space, mentally.

A concerning tweet and a series of cryptic story posts to his Instagram would force his fans and many more to reach out.

After hitting the Gram to apologize for the murky way he expressed his battle with depression, we would forget about Lil Pump for a while amidst the ongoing protests, the pandemic, and the deaths of our idols, in 2020.

And to what should be no surprise, Lil Pump would rise again. But this time in a new, very confusing, MAGA like form — Little Pimp.

Lil Pump’s transformation to Lil Pimp

In the heights of the 2020 Presidential Election, Lil Pump took the stage on Nov. 3 and FULLY endorsed the Cheeto Jesus. Dripped out and donning a MAGA hat Trump would give the clout rapper one hell of a cooked introduction.

After Trump mistakenly identified the rapper as Little Pimp and adding in that he is “one of the big superstars of the world,” Pump grabbed the mic and went off… in the wrong direction.

Throwing much fake-respect on the MAGA man’s name Lil Pump would have somewhat of an unbelievable close to his short speech.

MAGA [Make America Great Again] 2020,” he said, adding: “Don’t forget that, and do no vote for sleepy Joe at all.”

Those who are “woke” know everything that is wrong with this. Not to mention what Lil Pump has done (is doing) speaks volumes about the confusing state this country is in.

Lil Pump for MAGA tho?

We can mention the cages, the wall, the white supremacy sympathizing… the list goes on, forever. Still, as we wait for the results to tally up, we have to remember to keep calm and carry on.

This is only the beginning of a long war between knowledge and bullshit. Please do not let an obsessive clout chaser like Lil Pump pimped out by the f’d up MAGA powers that be, control the important decisions we need to make to get this country to where it should be.

Aggy Abby

Meet Aggy Abby the all-around female boss in Drake’s new video

When it comes to influencing it seems as if Aggy Abby runs the game. The proof is in the bio, fam, as it reads “i influence.

Still, it seems as if the stylish engagement connoisseur has all eyes on her as she has garnered more fame after making more than a cameo in Drake’s new video for his hit song “Laugh Now Cry Later.

Arriving at the Nike World Headquarters with the lightskin king in a Maybach concept car was only a tasty tease as thirsty onlookers couldn’t help but question: Who da fug is that baddie in the whip with Drake tho?

Poss, it’s Drake’s latest cuff but the pressing thoughts didn’t stop there. She seemed too swaggy in the video to just be some random vixen. And after doing some deep research, we found that she’s an absolute boss.

At 27 she’s made her way from the city of Newark, through the military, and onto one million different feeds. It wasn’t an easy glo-up as Abigail “Aggy Abby” Silva has been grinding since 2013.

In a 2017 interview with Llero, she said, “It started back in 2013, and I was in the military on my way of processing out…”

“I like to speak my mind, and when I was in the military, I didn’t really have too many people to talk to, so when they came out with the ability to make videos on Instagram, I was like, ‘Okay, well, f-ck it. I’m just going to speak my mind on Instagram.’”

And even in garnering hundreds of thousands of followers, she remained humble and genuine even when opportunities came knocking at her door.

Even back in 2017 she carefully curated the possibilities she wanted to procure.

“I was just going with the flow with everything. I was just taking opportunities as they were coming to me. Some things I had to say no to just because it didn’t feel right, it wasn’t genuine, or it wasn’t in my lane.”

Beyond her million man following on IG, Aggy Abby has got the numbers on YouTube. At just about 90,000 subscribers she’s been documenting her life for some time now.

To Aggy Abby in labor,

Her fans have been there for it all.

Her content doesn’t stop there. The avid entrepreneur also has an Only Fans account, baby. Just last month Aggy Abby couldn’t help but flex the fan’s support in an IG post that has since been deleted.

In under 24 hours, she flexed over $20,000 in subscriptions, around $400 in tips, and just over $5,000 in revenue from messages alone. All for a total payout of $26,000 in straight-up racks.

And somehow we copped the proof though.

Things are looking up for the influencer and best believe we’re all here for her come up. Never stop grinding!

“Show them the rawness. Show them that you can live this Instagram fame and get money, but at the end of the day, you still come home to family and live a regular life. Everybody’s human at the end of the day. No matter how many followers you have, everybody still bleeds the same type of blood,” said Abby.

Tekashi69’s $200K charity donation gets dubbed: Where he went wrong

If you haven’t noticed Tekashi69 is out of jail and back in action. He’s been hopping on IG live to talk his shitdropping snitch-like polls, and, most recently, getting his massive $200K donation dubbed from a children’s charity.

Stoopid hype, he took to IG this morning to share his good doings.

A couple of hours later he would get dubbed by the No Kids Hungry Foundation and respond with the following Instagram post that has now been deleted out of shame.

Most would say that the rapper is absolutely sicketh. Still, in all reality, this is a good thing. Yeah, those children lost out on $200K worth of food but in the bigger scheme of things, it was a smart move.

“As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”

If you own a nonprofit, trust, this is the last mans you want representing the effort you’ve put in to spread your charitable initiative. God forbid Tekashi69 got a board seat.

Don’t forget. Before he was snatched, played like a Gameboy, and put in jail, he had a sus case going on. In fact, he pleaded guilty to filming a minor doing nasty things to a grown man in 2015. Yeah, buddy.

So, it’s obvious why the charity dubbed him but besides that and whatever effed up situation he found himself in 2015, where else did mans go wrong? Why shouldn’t we buy into his clout?

Tekashi never stayed true to himself

Rule numero uno of being creative — stay true to yourself. If it’s one thing Daniel had, it was definitely a unique sound. His rambunctious flow was entertaining before he first broke the mainstream.

This is what people loved, this is what we wanted. It was unique. Tekashi69’s early music made us want to rage. Even back then the masks, the colorful long hair was flowing, but there was no “claiming of sets.” It was just all this loud noise.

He lost himself at some point. He sold out in the worst way possible. And that would surely come back and bite him in the ass. Now, all we have are songs like GOOBA, and FeFe.

meh.

You can’t buy our love Tekashi

If for one second you think his publicist(s) is not trying to get him a heartfelt love story that “happens to go viral” you’re asleep, fam. He failed big time with this charity stunt. His attempt to donate that $200K only reminded us of the nasty things he’s done in the past.

Don’t get it twisted. We’ve all been bought before, But, a snitch, an alleged pedo, and a phony, the community is going to need a lot more than $200k to be convinced you’re a good human Tekashi69.

Yes, I want all the smoke.

Where’s the humility?

Fresh out of jail, back in these skreets, and you have a target on your back. With all the situations you’ve experienced, why would you still be talking shit? We heard you. You are the king of NY, numbers don’t lie, blah, blah, blah.

I get it, it is entertaining AF to watch him mentally navigate and find a rebuttal to what the world thinks of him. Still, a little humility will take someone with a bad rep very far. Just dip, disappear, let us forget about you for a while… Then make your comeback.

We’ll probably all be better off.

By the way, if you have a chance donate to the No Kid Hungry Foundation. At least some good can come out of this.
